The idea
What does "judge the process, not the result" mean?
A single trade's profit or loss is mostly noise. You can do everything right and lose, or do everything wrong and win. Zanshin scores how you traded, including trend, structure, entry timing and risk, so that over hundreds of trades you reinforce good decisions instead of lucky ones.
What's a "lucky win" and why is it bad?
A lucky win is a profitable trade that came from a poor process, like chasing an extended move or trading without a stop. It feels great, and that's the problem: it teaches your brain that the mistake works. Hindsight bot, the council's mirror, flags these so you don't build habits that will cost you later.
And a "good loss"?
A losing trade where you followed your plan: a valid setup, a sensible stop and the right size. Zanshin gives it full process credit, because the loss is simply the cost of doing business.
What does Zanshin mean?
It's the focus you keep after the action is over. For a trader, that's the review once a trade is closed: what you did well, what was luck, and what to fix. That's where improvement happens.
The Council
How do the bots read my chart?
You upload a screenshot. The council uses classic image analysis to find the candles, your entry, stop and target lines, then each bot applies its own rules: Trend bot checks trend, Structure bot structure, FVG bot fair value gaps, Liquidity bot liquidity, Timing bot entry timing, Risk bot risk, and Hindsight bot compares process to outcome.
Is this AI? Will it make things up?
The council is deterministic and runs offline. The same chart gets the same review every time, and there's no chatbot inventing an opinion. If a bot can't find what it needs on your screenshot, it skips the check and tells you why instead of guessing.
Which charts work best?
Clean candlestick screenshots with visible entry, stop and target lines, like the long/short position tool in TradingView. Dark or light themes both work. Heavy indicator clutter makes reading harder.
Does Zanshin tell me what to trade?
No. Zanshin is a journal that reviews your own decisions. It never gives buy or sell signals or financial advice. See the disclaimer.
Privacy & data
Who can see my trades?
Only you. Your journal is private to your account. Screenshots uploaded to the live demo are reviewed and then discarded. Read the privacy policy for the details.
Do I need to connect my broker?
No. Zanshin works from screenshots and the details you enter, so there are no broker logins or API keys.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. You can export your journal or permanently delete your account from your account settings.
Platforms & billing
Which devices are supported?
Any modern browser, a Windows desktop app, and iPhone or Android through "Add to Home Screen". See the download page.
How much does it cost?
Basic is free forever: the journal, checklist, P&L calendar and 2 goals, plus a 7-day Premium trial when you sign up. Pro is $6.99/month and adds Zanshin Grading (process score, A–F grade and the four boxes), 40 chart reads a month, unlimited goals and the Resources library. Premium is $19.99/month and adds unlimited chart reads with the "bot view" overlay, the interactive P&L calendar, your own colours and animated backgrounds, daily check-ins, insights, the private Discord community and access to the Zanshin indicators. See pricing.
What is the Zanshin Discord?
A private, members-only Discord community included with Premium. Members share reviewed trades, keep each other accountable to their goals and talk process. It's not a signals room, and nobody there will tell you what to trade. Members also get access to the Zanshin TradingView indicator(s) through the server: education tools that mark the same structures the bots look for. They're not buy/sell signals or financial advice, and access ends with your Premium membership.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings and you'll keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, then drop back to the free Basic plan with your journal intact. See the refund policy.
